Description

Our wooden chew spools are made in Maine from US-grown maple trees. The spools are 100% natural and untreated. The spools satisfy the need to gnaw and provide environmental enrichment for any small animal such as gerbils, deer mice, chinchillas, cotton rats, rice rats, multimammate rats, spiny mice, degus, voles, and other rodents. Rodent enrichment is important in laboratory settings and is believed to improve test results and outcomes. The wooden ball is compatible with IACUC standards for research with Swiss Webster, nude, transgenic mice, NOD, FVB, BALB, and other strains of laboratory mice. Recommended animal enrichment at research facilities as well as zoos, animal shelters, and anywhere small animals are kept. Spools are available in small and large sizes.
