Is your horse bored? The Likit Treat Holder consists of a Likit Treat Holder and rope for hanging it in your horse’s stall or trailer. Simply add a Likit treat (sold separately) to the holder and hang it level with the horse’s withers. The swinging motion prevents them from biting or eating it quickly. Horses and ponies have to “lick it” to enjoy the flavor. The more your horse nudges and licks the toy, the more it will move, making it more challenging to obtain the reward. This is one of the easiest and most effective ways to provide horses, ponies and other ungulates with engaging environmental enrichment. The Likit Holder comes with a rope with a snap ring on the end that makes it easy to hang from a beam. The difficulty level can be increased by using different sizes of Likits. It is recommended to hang the toy at a significant distance from the walls to make it more challenging.. Designed to be hung in the stable from the rope provided and used in conjunction with a 650-gram likit refill and sold in assorted colors.
This Likit enrichment system is a favorite with riding academies, trainers, petting farms, zoos, and veterinary research farms. This product has been used with zebras, deer, camels, etc. A Likit holder will help alleviate boredom and negative behavior in the stall, zoo, and animal rescue.
